95th Anniversary at Burritt on the Mountain

Join us as we celebrate the history of our organization and the life of our founder Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low.  We will step back in time to experience Girl Scout activities through the years, including some Daisy would have enjoyed as a young girl. Some of the activities include weaving, cooking and baking, and milk and butter making.  Girl Scout archives will be on display during the month of October and November in the Burritt Mansion.

Blast off in Huntsville for another exciting space program! This year, girls will get a taste of Rockets and Robots. You don't want to miss this one! The progrm will include:

Friday November 2:
“A Day in the Life”- Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts Flight (1-4pm)
- Interview exciting female professionals at Marshall Space Flight Center, learning about their careers, backgrounds and special projects
- Play games, test out new technology and much more!
(All girls 16 years and older will need a valid Government issued photo ID)

“Out of this World” Slumber Party (5pm- until)
- Spend a night at the Space and Rocket Center Habitat, enjoy an exciting IMAX 
   film, dinner, and lots of exciting Girl Scout activities

Saturday November 3:
“Rockets and Robots”- (9-4pm)
- All day programming centered on Rocketry and Robotics including lunch

The cost to attend is as follows: (Girl Scouts and Leaders; 2 Leaders for every 10 girls)

  • $45- Entire Event, (including optional Cadette and Senior Girl Scout “A Day in the Life”), Friday night dinner, a night in the habitat, an IMAX movie, Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Rocketry and Robotics activities, Saturday lunch, a patch and a t-shirt (adults will not receive a patch or t-shirt unless specifically requested). 
  • $15- Saturday Rocketry and Robotics activities including lunch, a patch, and a t-shirt,

Fill out the Space Day registration form and return it to GSNA c/o Marie Gill 1515 Sparkman Drive, Huntsville, AL 35816 with check (payable to Girl Scouts of North Alabama, GSNA).   Registration may be emailed with a credit card number to marie.gill@girlscoutsofnorthalabama.org.  Payment must accompany registration.

Calling all girls who have attended at least three summers of resident camp at either Anderel or Trico!!!  We will share photos and stories of past summers, get a sneak peak at and talk about what is being offered next summer and enjoy some of our favorite camp activities!!!  This is your chance to tell us why you love camp and share your ideas for future camp activities.  We will also be looking for girls and families who would like to be trained as camp spokespersons to talk to troops and other groups about resident camp!
