Backpacking
Group
An
episodic group that plans and goes
on backpacking trips. The group participates
in several backpacking classes before
venturing into the wilderness on a trip.
Upcoming
short trip IS planned for this
winter and a potential extended trip
is being thought of for Spring Break.
Past trips have included the Sipsey wilderness,
Monte Sano Mountain, Savage Gulf in Tennessee
and Firey Gizzard in Tennessee. No experience

Session Group
Meets
every other Tuesday
from 5:30-6:30
at Decatur Youth Services
to discuss current issues relative to
girls their age….how is school,
what’s going on at home, peer
pressure, dating, etc.

Adventure group
I n the planning phase….
this group will meet periodically to
plan high adventure trips like rafting,
rock climbing, pelunking,
geocaching, etc.

• Please remember that Studio 2B does not replace the Cadette/Senior program. It is another option for girls to explore. Girls can do either or both.
• Be sure to check out the next issue of Cadette/Senior News, now known as Teen Scene. It has a great new format and lots of information for girls ages 11-17.
• Also be sure to visit www.studio2b.org for more great info. It includes pictures of the charms, a description of each focus book, a chat section and more great stuff.
• Please note that the Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards now include Studio 2B components. There are now inserts available for each award that gives girls a step-by-step approach on how to earn them. They are available at the Girl Scout shop. Please be sure to sign up for training for these awards as well.
• Here is a current list of Studio 2B focus books. These are available in the Girl Scout shop. There are also copies in the GSNA library that can be checked out for girls to thumb through before buying.o Parks Matter
