Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the 2007 camping season! We have shaken things up a bit and expanded our program offerings to give you more options in 2007! Traditional and exciting new resident camp programs will be held at Camp Trico while extended weekend troop camps and an incredible new Girl’s L.E.A.D. program will be held at Camp Anderel. Please look at all of the program offerings and decide which ones seem most interesting to you!

As both a camper and camp staff member, I have experienced first hand the impact that resident camp can have on girls. It is our intent that campers not only have fun, but that they develop lasting skills that will serve them throughout their lives. As resident camp staff, we strive for quality and commitment to our mission in all that we do. To read more about the benefits of camping for your child or if you

would like additional information to help you prepare your daughter for camp, or to determine if she is ready for resident camp, please check the web site (www.girlscoutsofnorthalabama.org). This web fsite is sponsored by the American Camp Association and provides a wealth of information for parents.

This brochure is designed to help you plan an amazing camp experience and should answer most of your questions. You will receive additional information, including directions to camp, a packing list and necessary forms in a confirmation packet after you have registered. Please allow at least two weeks for processing camp registrations. Much of this information is also available on our web site. If you have any additional questions, please contact me by phone at the council office at (256) 883-1020 or by email (libby.babcock@girlscoutsofnorthalabama.org).

On behalf of the entire camp staff, we look forward to sharing an outstanding summer with each or you!

Sincerely,

BABS
